1867 – “A Taste of the Time” Dinner

Here is the information you need to attend an Historic Dinner to be held on September 16th, 2017 in St Davids. This will be a very special event, organized by the St Davids Ratepayers Association in partnership with the Niagara Historical Society & Museum in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary.

An Invitation

 The St Davids Ratepayers Association (SDRA), in association with the Niagara Historical Society & Museum (NHSM), extends to you and your guest an invitation to its inaugural “A Taste of the Time” historic dinner to be held at the St Davids Lions Club on Saturday evening, September 16th, 2017.

 The dinner will feature food and drink that might have been prepared and served at a dinner of St Davids and area residents held in 1867, the year of Confederation in Canada, the end of Upper Canada and the beginning of the Province of Ontario. There will be historic comment during the dinner and Dr Wesley Turner has been invited to speak on life in the new province and those issues that might have been of concern to St Davids residents at the time.
